State and county law enforcement officers responding to a call from a Coldwater residence Thursday, february 11, arrested four people on methamphetamine charges, according to Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director Marshall Fisher.
In a news release, Director Fisher said MBN and Tate County Metro Narcotics agents arrested the four after a consensual search at a residence on Holly Cove in Coldwater turned up methamphetamine precursors and a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Charged with possession of precursors and manufacture of methamphetamine are individuals identified in the release as 35-year-old Darrell E. Thomas and 29-year-old Sara Martin, both of Coldwater.
Thomas also faces a possession of methamphetamine charge.
Charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell are individuals identified in the release as 28-year-old Christopher W. Cummins of Coldwater and 27-year-old Morgan McKinney of Booneville, who is on parole for felony narcotics charges.
All four were transported to the Tate County Jail, where they were awaiting initial court appearances on the charges.
Two children, ages 7 and 9, who were at the residence when the suspects were arrested have been turned over to the state Department of Human Services.
