Re: Inmate Escape – Cedric Miller
The Tate County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a prisoner who ran off from the county work center Saturday, February 11, 2012 at approximately 8:50 p.m.
The inmate, Cedric Miller was part of the Joint State/County Work Program. He has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for forgery and grand larceny out of Choctaw County, Mississippi. Miller was classified by MDOC to participate in the work program and was sent to our work center in November of 2011.
On the night of February 11, 2012, jail officers had found him in possession of a cell phone and a small amount of marijuana. Jail staff failed to secure him and he walked out the main door of the work center and ran before the jail officers exited the building.
Anyone with information on Miller’s whereabouts is asked to call the Tate County Sheriff’s Office at (662) 562-4434 or North Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-2169 or your local law enforcement agency.
